Mobile / Fixed Micro Dosing Systems

Microdosing is a recipe-based production system. It is a suitable solution for processes where more than one material is dosed at different rates and transmitted to mixers or other systems. Unlike solid or liquid dosage systems, the amount of material in micro dosage systems is between 0.1 and 20 kg.
The system consists of three main groups.
1) Material stock equipment
2) Feeding equipment
3) Weighing group equipment

1) Material loading to the system can be done by different methods. Bag-loading stations can be used for manual loading, as well as by using pneumatic transport systems or big-bag unloading units.
2) Small screw conveyors are generally used as feeding equipment in the system. However, belt conveyors can also be used for materials for which the auger is not suitable. Frequency converter is used to provide sensitivity.
3) The weighing group consists of the equipment called the weighing pan and the pan cover that separates it from the outside environment.

According to the system, the pan can be fixed or movable.

Movable Micro Dosing Unit - Automatic System with Movable Pan

In arrangements where the bunker layout should be on a linear line, it is a constructive necessity to switch to a moving pan system to receive goods from each bunker. The movable pan systems are controlled by servo motors, and the movement of the pan in a way that it rises and stops with soft accelerations is provided by programming the servo motor.

The pan has been specially designed and does not contain any pneumatic or mechanical connection components, because this type of connection impairs the sensitivity of the pan over time. The parts of the dosing pan that come into contact with the material are made of teflon coated or polished stainless steel according to the flow characteristics of the material.

The control of the system is carried out with PLC and SCADA systems. All dosing information is recorded in weekly and daily reports. If there are big differences in quantity between the raw materials to be dosed, double pan system is used in both mobile and fixed pan systems.

Components with a higher amount according to the recipe are weighed on the high-capacity pan, while the components with less amount are weighed in the low-capacity pan. Generally, these two pans are enclosed in the same sheath and the alignment of the selected pan axis to the silo mouth axis is performed with servo control.

Manual System with Moving Pan

In the manual micro dosing system, according to the prescriptions created on the PC, how much of each component is dosed is determined respectively and is reflected on the screen watched by the operator at the head of the unit. According to the silo number of the component displayed on the screen, the operator takes the dosing container with its scale under that bunker and manually doses the material. When the weighing process is finished, it records the weighing value to the computer by pressing the button. If the weighing value is within the permissible sensitivity range, the silo number of the other component in the recipe is displayed on the screen. If the scale value is not suitable, the system indicates that the scale is incorrect.
