Ultrasonic Discharging Assistance (Flowsonic)

Ultrasonic Systems has developed an innovative, non-traditional solution, Flowsonic, where the pourability of bulk materials can be specifically optimized. Flowsonic offers an energy-saving and low-noise alternative to mechanical and pneumatic solutions. Classic flow problems such as bridging, rat-holing, and segregation are prevented. The bulk material to be discharged often consists of a mixture of different particles. These differ in size, shape, and density. When dealing with heterogeneous mixtures, mixing events that can affect the quality of the final product often occur during the production process. When bridging occurs, powder accumulates above the exit, forming a stable arch or bridge. Bridging can affect production capacity due to, among other things, operational interruptions. In both flow problems, the flow of bulk material is usually re-optimized with pneumatic or electric assistants. However, in most cases, these discharging aids cause noise, damage bulk load containers, and thus affect the overall equipment efficiency.
