Vicat Device Liya Laboratory Test Equipment Ad Description
General Features:
The Vicat Apparatus is used to determine the setting time and expansion of cement. The setting time is determined by observing the penetration of a needle into a cement paste of standard consistency to a specified depth.
Expansion is determined by observing the relative movement of two needles that measure the volume change of the cement paste at standard consistency.
The amount of water required for standard consistency is determined by testing pastes prepared with different water contents and observing the penetration of the plunger into the paste.
The Vicat Apparatus is supplied as a set including a mold, initial and final needles (EN model), glass plate, and consistency plunger.
