ÖNSA Machinery's Olive Oil Storage Tanks are specially designed to preserve the quality, aroma and nutritional value of olive oil for extended periods. They minimise the risk of oxidation and deterioration of your product by preventing olive oil from coming into contact with air, light and temperature fluctuations.
Design Features that Preserve Product Quality
Olive oil is a sensitive product that rapidly loses its quality when exposed to light and air. Our tanks feature special details to eliminate these factors:
Stainless Steel Quality: The entire tank is manufactured from food-grade AISI 304 stainless steel or, upon request, AISI 316 stainless steel with higher corrosion resistance, particularly for coastal facilities.
Optimum Form: Ideal conical base or flat base options are available for cleaning and efficient emptying.
Air Contact Prevention: Optionally, an inert gas (nitrogen) application connection is available at the top to prevent oxidation of the olive oil.
Leak-Proof: High-quality gaskets and lids ensure complete leak-proofing against external air and moisture ingress.
Thermal Management and Hygiene
The ideal storage temperature for olive oil is maintained by our tanks, which are designed to preserve this temperature range:
Insulation (Optional): To reduce the impact of external ambient temperatures and save energy, the tanks can be manufactured with a high-density polyurethane foam insulation jacket.
Easy Drainage: Designed to prevent sediment (residue) accumulation at the bottom and product loss. A separate bottom outlet valve may be available for sediment drainage.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Provides easy and quick internal cleaning with manhole covers and cleanable valves.
