What is an inverter (inverter)?
In the simplest terms, an inverter is a device that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC), whose amplitude and direction changes periodically. Since direct current is produced especially in UPS  and solar energy systems, this energy must be stored in batteries. 12V, 24V or 48V direct current (DC) stored in the batteries is converted to single-phase 220V or three-phase 380V AC voltage in clean pure sinus form with the help of inverter.

Inverter means inverter in Turkish, it is actually a conversion system. To explain in a simpler way; Inverters convert battery and pv voltages with different direct current values into 220V or 380V alternating current at 50Hz frequency. As can be seen in the picture below, inverters can be fed separately from the battery group, pv panels and the mains.

What Does Inverter Do?
The inverter is used in the UPS to convert DC voltage to AC voltage. It is one of the most important components of UPS. Thanks to the inverter, 220 volts or 380 volts of energy can be obtained from the output of the UPS in pure clean and true sinus form.

What is the Working Principle of the Inverter?
Electricity cannot be produced from scratch with inverters. It is cycled with an inverter. Inverters draw all the energy they use from a battery or a different source (such as a solar panel), and 12-24-48-1100V direct current is converted into 220V or 380V alternating current.

Where Is Inverter Used?
The inverter device, which cleans the voltage fluctuations and peaks coming from the network by passing it through the filter circuit, reduces the motor and mechanical parts errors caused by these effects; It minimizes the maintenance and repair costs of these parts and extends their life. In addition, the inverter enables savings by reducing reactive energy. Inverters, power converters or inverters are used in many different areas, from small power supplies used in computers to large systems powering electrical distribution systems. To give a few examples of usage areas:

It is used in electronic devices such as televisions, lighting lamps, computers, drills, white goods.
It is used in measuring instruments used in works that require precise measurement.
It is used in renewable energy sources such as wind turbines.
How Does Inverter Work?
It is used to convert DC voltage from inverter battery pack to AC voltage. Its main task is to convert the battery voltage with 12V, 24V and 48V direct current to 50 Hz 220V AC alternating current voltage. In case the UPS is three-phase or single-phase, the type of inverter used in the UPS also changes. All UPSs have an inverter on the output floor. Inverters can also be used individually to generate AC from any DC source (Battery, Solar Panel etc.).

What are the Inverter Types?
Inverters are produced in many different structures. The most preferred among these are full sine inverters. Full sine inverters adjust the incoming waves as full sine waves and provide an efficiency of 94%. Preferring the use of full sine inverter is especially important in terms of longer life of electronic equipment.
