The mechanical vertical rotary tiller operates with blades driven by gears connected to the tractor’s PTO shaft, rotating perpendicular to the direction of travel and parallel to the soil surface. It is a simple soil cultivation and seedbed preparation implement.
It tills the soil vertically, preventing the formation of a hardpan layer and preserving soil moisture since it does not invert the soil. Crop residues and stalks remaining after harvest are mixed homogeneously into the soil, turning them into organic fertilizer.
