Granulator Specifications

• Granulator is manufactured from heavy duty, wear resistant steel with MIG welding of all parts.
• Combined granulation chamber top half and hopper assembly is opened by hydraulic ram, controlled via electric control panel.
• Nip rolls (one rubber coated, other knurled steel) and feeding chute designed according to Cryovac specifications.
• Vertical rubber curtain strips inside the hopper prevents material fly back.
• Heavy duty, self aligning, double row, oversize bearings prevent all granulation shocks.
• Bearings are placed inside water cooled, precision machined, single piece solid steel bearing

pillows. Double row, spring loaded seals and an annular chamber with a downlooking opening before the bearings prevents dust absorption to the bearings and grease leakege into the granulation chamber.

• Rotor is precision milled from single piece high grade steel.
• Drilled through rotor provides knife and rotor cooling. Rotary unions are provided.
• Rotor and knife plate design prevents material clogging inside the granulation chamber.

Knives

• DIN 1.2379 (X 155CrVMo 12 1) material for stationary and rotor knives. Heat treated to 58 HRC.
• Certified in Germany.
• Rotary and stationary knives are easy to fit on mounting plates, are bolt adjustable for counter angled, scissor type cutting for low dust and heat.
• All working surfaces are precision grinded.
• Knife adjustment jig is supplied for fast knife alignment outside the granulator.

Electrical Control System

• 24 V DC / 380-440V AC, 50Hz., 3 phase. Star-Delta motor soft start circuitry.
• Stand alone sheet metal monoblock cabin with lockable external isolator.
• Protection class IP 65. Finished with electrostatic RAL 7032 light grey painting.
• All control buttons, ampermeter for main motor, mushroom emergency stop button on the front.
• Ampermeter controlled zero rotor speed monitoring system prevents opening of the hopper.
