Concrete is a composite material made up of different types and sizes of aggregates. The key requirement in such materials is achieving homogeneity. Therefore, applying vibration to concrete is an essential step.

Vibration

Vibration is the process of shaking the concrete and supplying energy to release trapped air. The shaking temporarily reduces the friction between aggregates, making the concrete more fluid. This increased fluidity allows the concrete to compact and settle more easily. As a result, a denser, stronger, and more durable concrete structure is achieved. Once vibration stops, friction between the aggregates re-establishes within the concrete.
