What is Geosynthetic Clay Layer (GCL)?
GCL is a high-performance insulation material where a sodium bentonite layer is encased between two geotextile layers (woven/non-woven) using a needle-punching method. This mechanical bonding prevents the bentonite from sliding, creating a homogeneous barrier.

High Swelling Capacity: Natural sodium bentonite swells up to 12 times its own weight, filling voids and preventing water penetration.

Continuous Cycle: Unaffected by wetting and drying cycles; returns to its original state and maintains its function when water is removed.
