Disk Plow

The mounted disk plow is a soil tillage machine attached to the tractor via a three-point hitch system. It is primarily used for preparing the seedbed after harvest, making it one of the most important tools in soil preparation.

Since the disks rotate while working, they do not get stuck on obstacles. In sandy and stony fields, the wear on the disks is less compared to moldboard plows. Thanks to their rotating motion, they require less draft power from the tractor and do not strain it. The machine is simple to adjust and easy to operate.

Advantages of Using a Disk Plow

• When working in moist soil, the wavy bottom left by the disks prevents soil compaction and waterlogging.
• Due to the concave shape of the disks, the soil is broken down more effectively, preventing clod formation.
• Because the disks rotate while working, they easily overcome obstacles such as stones and tough plant roots, preventing blockages and possible breakdowns.
• The wide distribution of soil resistance forces across the disk surface increases durability, making the disks resistant to high stresses and difficult to damage.
• The outer edges of the disks are sharpened; during operation, these edges rub against the furrow wall, allowing the disks to self-sharpen over time and maintain cutting efficiency.
