Mounted Disc Plow

The mounted disc plow is a soil tillage machine attached to the tractor via a three-point hitch system. It is primarily used for soil preparation after harvest, especially for preparing the seedbed.

Since the discs rotate while working, they do not get stuck on obstacles. In sandy and stony fields, the wear on the discs is less compared to moldboard plows. Because they work by rotation, they require less draft power from the tractor and do not strain it. The machine is simple to adjust and easy to operate.

Advantages of Using a Disc Plow

• In moist soils, the wavy structure of the furrow bottom created by the disc plow prevents soil compaction and waterlogging.
• Due to their concave shape, the discs break the soil more effectively, preventing clod formation.
• As the discs rotate during operation, they easily overcome obstacles such as stones and tough plant roots, preventing breakdowns and blockages.
• The wide distribution of soil resistance forces across the discs increases durability, making them resistant to high stresses and less prone to damage.
• Since the disc edges are sharpened on the outside, they rub against the furrow wall during operation, allowing the discs to self-sharpen over time and remain effective.
