Blaine Device Liya Laboratory Test Equipment Ad Description
General Features:
The specific surface area (surface area per unit mass) is measured by comparing a cement sample with a reference sample using the air permeability method (Blaine). The determination of specific surface area is mainly used to check the consistency of the grinding process, especially within the same factory.
The method is comparative rather than absolute. Therefore, a reference sample with a known specific surface area is required for calibration of the device.
The apparatus consists of a U-type manometer tube mounted vertically on a metal base plate, a stainless steel cell, a 1 mm diameter perforated disk with 30–40 holes, a rubber bulb, a rubber hose, a plastic funnel, manometer fluid, and 100 filter papers.
