General Specifications:

• By using the appropriate accessories with the Flexural Testing Press, flexural strength tests of beams, kerbs and paving block specimens can be performed. Three-point and four-point flexural tests can be carried out.
• 20-ton capacity. It can be operated fully automatically via computer or manually via the servo control panel. Even in manual mode, readings are taken from the digital display and from the computer.
• The Flexural Testing Press consists of a loading frame, a hydraulic power unit and a digital graphic display unit.
• When required, the loading frame can be connected to the Concrete Compression Testing Machine, eliminating the need for a second unit.
• The front part of the press is protected with a wire safety cage.
• The distance between the lower supports is adjustable.

Beam Flexure Apparatus

• When connected to the flexural frame, three- or four-point flexural tests can be performed on 100 mm or 150 mm beam specimens.
• The distance between the upper supports can be adjusted between 50 mm and 150 mm, and the distance between the lower supports can be adjusted between 100 mm and 800 mm, or one of the upper supports can be removed to configure the set-up for three-point flexural tests.

Kerb Flexure Apparatus

• When connected to the flexural frame, flexural tests of concrete kerbs can be performed.
• The distance between the lower supports can be adjusted between 100 mm and 800 mm.
• The upper loading piston has a diameter of 40 mm and is equipped with a swivelling (spherical seated) head system.

Hydraulic Unit and Digital Graphic Display Unit

• The system includes a hydraulic unit with a maximum capacity of 600 bar and a digital graphic display unit. The pressure transducer used has an accuracy of 0.15%.
• During the test, values such as loading rate, load and stress can be monitored on the digital display unit. An external dot-matrix printer can be connected to the digital unit.

Software

• The concrete testing software is supplied free of charge together with the Concrete Compression Testing Machine.
• In the software, specimen, company, laboratory and test information can be entered. Load–time and stress–time graphs, test reports and specimen reports can be generated.
