Waste Mineral Oils; It is recycled in 2 main ways as refining and regeneration and divided into 3 main categories.

Refining; Refining of waste oils and converting them into base oils or petroleum products in accordance with national and international standards and specifications.

Regeneration ; It is the removal of all kinds of pollutants, oxidation products, particles from waste oils and obtaining original oils in accordance with national or international standards and specifications.

I. Category Waste Oil; PCBs in waste oils in this category are below the limit values ​​of pollutants such as total halogen and heavy metals. The waste oils of this category must first be recovered by regeneration and refining. Oils of this category can be used for energy recovery.

II. Catagory Waste Oil; Waste oils of this category are waste oils suitable for use in energy recovery facilities in facilities licensed by the Ministry. However, it is possible to recover industrial waste oils which do not exceed chloride, total halogen and PCB parameters by regeneration and refining.

III. Category Waste Oil; The heavy metals in the waste oils in this category are above the limit values ​​given in the table below. Total halides with chloride are over 2000ppm and PCB is over 50ppm. They are waste oils that are not suitable for regeneration and refining, use as fuel, create a risk for human and environmental health and must be made harmless by incineration in licensed hazardous waste incineration plants.
